Dear
Fellow Wine Connoisseurs,
The
Point Waterfront
Restaurant and
Rio Vista Rotary
Club are proud
to present our
11th Annual Winemakers
Dinner on Friday,
July 10, 2009,
beginning at
6:30pm. We
are featuring
the award-winning
wines of Carvalho
Family Winery
from Clarksburg.
Starting
in the villages
and vineyards
of Portugal,
winemaking has
been a Carvalho
family tradition.
Today, Carvalho
Family Winery
continues that
tradition as
an ultra-premium
winery, dedicated
to the production
of small-lot,
hand-crafted
California wines
using grapes
from the Clarksburg
appellation and
other high-quality
vineyards throughout
California. They
take an old world
approach to winemaking
paired with the
best viticulture
and enological
tools available
in the world
today. John
Carvalho will
be on hand to
present his very
special wines
which have been
carefully paired
with each course. Carvalho
Family Winery
is located in
the historic
Old Sugar Mill
Galeria do Vinho
in Clarksburg. For

We
are thrilled
to be introducing
to you a most
accomplished
painter whose
work is on display
at our nation’s
capitol! While
you nibble on
our delectable
hors d’oeuvres,
you will have
the opportunity
to meet our featured
painter, Ning
Hou. He
will be showing
several of his
pieces that have
been inspired
by the beautiful
Delta that we
all cherish. Ning
has a gallery
in Locke and
San Francisco. Please
log on to his
website to get
a preview of
his exquisite
paintings. www.ninghou.com
For
your listening
pleasure, Locke
musician and
long-time friend,
Stuart Walthall,
will be setting
the mood with
his soothing
and melodic piano
playing.
Once
again, executive
Chef Jim Baumann
promises your
taste buds will
be tantalized
with each new
flavor bursting
from every one
of his culinary
creations!
